Jacob Thorkelson, lame-duck anti-Semitic Montana Representative, has introduced a bill whose intention is to insinuate Jews would attempt to evade the draft registration on Oct. 16.
The bill would nullify President Roosevelt’s executive order deferring registration of those who are outside the continental United States on the registration date on the ground that this favors a race ” accustomed to moving about as a wandering people.” The bill claims that since registration is deferred in the territories, it serves to promote a campaign for the colonization of this “wandering people” in Alaska.
