Leon Trotzky, the Soviet-Jewish Communist leader who was exiled by Stalin from Soviet Russia, has refused an invitation to figure as candidate for Rector of the Edinburgh University, the London press reports.
The invitation to Trotzky was sent by the Edinburg University. In refusing to accept it, Trotzky declared that although the proposal was very flattering, he felt he had no right to make use of it because of his definite political views.
