Turkey’s ambassador to the United States echoed Israel’s repeated denials that Jerusalem had nothing to do with Turkey’s recent capture of Kurdish separatist leader Abdullah Ocalan. Turkey’s “excellent” relations with Israel are in no way related to the capture of Ocalan, Ambassador Baki Ilkin told reporters in Washington. “That is something beyond the scope of our bilateral relations with Israel,” he said.
