Wide interest was evoked by the opening of the trial of twenty Poles and six Jews yesterday in the town of Rypin.

The defendants are charged with responsibility for the riots which occurred in Dobrzyn following a ritual murder agitation there. The disturbance was caused by the fact that a gypsy child was found dead and the tale was spread that Jews were responsible for the murder.
