Two special committees to aid Rumanian Jews were set up at a special conference of the United Rumanian Jews of America, the organization announced this week-end. The committees, which will seek to improve the political and economic condition of Jews still in Rumania, will include representatives of the J.D.C., HIAS, ORT., U.S.N.A., Z.O.A., American Jewish Committee, World Jewish congress, B’nai B’rith, National Council of Jewish Women and the Institute of Jewish Affairs.
At the parley Dr. Charles H. Kremer, treasurer of the organization, who recently returned from a trip to Rumania, reported that the Jewish community there ### extinction unless they were aided by the Jews of America to emigrate from the country. He added that 90 percent of the Jews were in a poor economic situation.
