American Jews were called upon today by the United Palestine Appeal to speed their aid to the Jewish Agency as a result of the British Government’s decision to permit more than 1,600 Patria survivors to remain in Palestine.

Maintenance of the refugees, who are now confined to internment camps at Athlit, will devolve upon the Jewish Agency, which must win many score back to health and integrate all into a new productive existence, the U.P.A. said.
