Jewish officials here today expressed concern ever the U.S. Army’s plan to consolidate and close up several training centers under the supervision of the Jewish Agency where young displaced Jews are receiving agricultural training in preparation for emigration to Palestine.
It is known that the Army la making a study of eleven existing training canters with the idea of closing a number of them and returning the buildings and grounds to the Germans. The Jewish officials, who had been planning to ask the Army to increase the facilities at their disposal, point out that the training centers are key points in the program to train prospective immigrants so that they can enter the Palestine economy without a period of disruption.
