A total of $1.7 million in pledges for the 1981 United Jewish Appeal campaign was received from 175 members of the UJA’s Young Leadership Cabinet at the UJA annual retreat at the Harrison Conference Center in Lake Bluff, III.
The final figures were released by David Green of Rockville, Md,; Michael Jaffe of N.Y.C.; and Ron Sosnick’ of Los Gatos, Cal,, the national campaign chairmen for the Young Leadership Cabinet. They said the pledges represented a 43 percent increase over the amount the Cabinet members donated to the 1980 campaign. The Cabinet was founded in 1962 with an original membership of 44 men and now has 280 members from 32 states.
