The Union of Jewish Front Soldiers is fully conscious of the importance of its work at the present time, declared Dr. Lowenstein, president of the organization, at a conference here attended by chairman of the sixteen district branches of the group. Dr. Lowenstein reviewed the development of the general situation and the internal Jewish situation.
“We realize fully that upon us fall tasks of decisive importance for German Jewry,” he said, “particularly, for Jewish youth. Conscious of the community of faith of German Jews and proceeding from the soldierly tradition, we will keep alive, in common with the whole of German Jewry, those values and forces of character and physique which the course of history demands.”
Dr. Landenberger of Nuremberg, who is also a member of the executive of the All-German Jewish Representative Body, spoke of the close collaboration of the two organizations, and the work of the Front Soldiers, since the establishment of the group in 1919.
