Unseasonal Heat Wave in Israel Affects Crops; Population Swelters

Israel sweltered today for the tenth day from an unseasonal heat wave which has caused an intensified use of water for irrigation and the writing off of crops in many areas for lack of rain.

The heat also affected Israels Army which began its winter exercises today in summer temperatures.
