Ex-Premier Vaida-Voevod, leader of the anti-Jewish movement in Rumania, who was deposed as head of the National Peasant party in Transylvania, announced today that he will put up his own list of candidates for the coming parliamentary elections in Rumania.
“I do not intend to concentrate my fight within the ranks of the National Peasant party. The majority of my followers are not members of this party anyway,” the ex-Premier said.
Dr. Vaida-Voevod, despite his having been ousted from control of the National Peasant party, is continuing his anti-Jewish propaganda in Transylvania, where he is constantly addressing large meetings, warning his audiences against the national minorities of the country.
Ex-Premier Mironescu today announced his support of the Vaida-Voevod campaign, declaring that he would assist him in his efforts to introduce a numerus clausus for national minorities in the professions and in education.
