A United Preae dispatch from Rome reported today that the Vatican was said to have reached an understanding with Germany and Rumania enabling Polish Jews in France and Rumania to return to Poland on condition that they abstain from political activity.
The understanding was reportedly reached following long negotiations among Vatican representatives in Warsaw and Berlin and Rumanian and German official. The dispatch said it was believed transfer of Polish Jewish refugees from France and Rumania would begin almost immediately.
