The British Consul in Warsaw today announced that he will make it easier for Jews to go from Poland to Palestine as capitalists, provided they can prove that they are bringing with them to Palestine not less than $5,000.
Instead of referring their application for Palestine visas to the Palestine government in Jerusalem, the British Consulate in Poland will now decide on the spot whether the visa should be granted to the applicant. This will save the applicant much time and will save the Consulate much red tape.
The announcement by the British Consul came as a result of efforts made by the Executive of the Jewish Agency in cooperation with the Warsaw Palestine Office. It is expected that as a result of this announcement the number of Jewish capitalists who will proceed this Summer to Palestine will be the largest ever to emigrate from Poland.
