The Prince of Wales yesterday bestowed honors upon Jewish boys in Manchester, members of the Jewish Lads Brigade.
The Prince presented to the team of the First Manchester Cadets Batallion of the Brigade a boxing shield.
The ceremony took place in the town hall and the Prince shook hands with every member, congratulating them on their achievements.
A bronze bust of Max Gabel, Jewish actor, playwright, and producer, modeled by the noted Jewdish sculptor Aaron Goodelman, is to be presented to Mr. Gabel on the occasion of the dinner to be tendered him on his fiftieth birthday, Dec. 23rd, at the Hotel Pennsylvania, by leading representatives of the Jewish and English stage. The bust represents the contributions of men and women connected with the Yiddish Theatre, as well as many playgoers.
