The Warburg Library was opened in Hamburg. The library, which consists of rare and important works on the history of art, philosophy and history, has been collected over a period of many years by the well-known art-critic and historian, Prof. Dr. Aby Warburg, and has been presented by him to the city of Hamburg, to be at the special disposal of the University.
The Library is housed on four floors and is divided into special sections, with a complete catalogue compiled over many years.
There is a special section under the heading of the War. consisting of complete bound files of all the most important newspapers published during the Great War.
