The fifteenth triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women closed today at the William Penn Hotel, after six days of sessions, installing new officers and adopting a series of resolutions to further its peace program.
Mrs. Maurice L. Goldman, New York, was elected president, and the following other officers were named: Mrs. Joseph M. Welt, Detroit, and Mrs. Alexander Wolf, Washington, vice-presidents; Mrs. Jacob Loeb Langsdorf, Philadelphia, treasurer; Mrs. Edgar Menderson, Cincinnati, recording secretary, and Mrs. Herman B. Levine, West Englewood, N.J., financial secretary.
The principal resolution called for revision of the United States’ neutrality policy through legislation imposing embargoes on belligerent nations that evade the present neutrality act by fighting “undeclared” wars.
