Appointment of Dr. Gerhard Riegner as director of coordination of the World Jewish Congress was announced today following the three-day quarterly meeting of the congress coordinating committee here. Dr. Riegner will also continue in his capacity as Congress representative at the European office of the United Nations. His appointment was described as a measure to improve the effectiveness of the internal administration of the organization.
The three-day session, it was stated, gave special attention to recent developments in Eastern Europe and North Africa.
