A $250,000 gift has been made to the West Coast division of Yeshiva University by Samuel A. Fryer, Los Angeles philanthropist and supporter of Jewish education, according to an announcement by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university.
The gift will make possible construction of new facilities for the division in Los Angeles. The planned expansion program will include a Rambam Torah Institute, with a four-year high school curriculum; and provision to make the West Coast Division a fully accredited college, granting Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, in addition to Bachelor of Hebrew Letters and Bachelor of Religious Education for completion of Hebraic and religious studies.
