“Yoshe Kalb,” the famous play by I. G. Zinger, was given twenty-nine consecutive performances at one of the largest theatres here by Maurice Schwartz and his troupe.

This is the longest run in the Yiddish theatrical history of the Argentine.

The play was taken off because of the sudden departure of Lazar Fried, member of the acting company, who could not stand the Argentine winter and was ordered by physicians to leave for a milder climate.

The play and the visiting New York troupers were enthusiastically received by both audience and critics.
