Discussions between the World Zionist Executive and the Union of General Zionists concluded today with a full agreement to exclude certain inter-party methods and propaganda and to enforce discipline in the Zionist ranks.
The Zionist Executive presented a scheme for the reform of the World Zionist Organization and agreed to proposals regarding the reform of the shekel payment and Zionist Congress procedure. Only those who pay the annual shekel tax are entitled to vote in the elections for delegates to Zionist Congresses. It was stipulated, however, that the reforms must be preceeded by consultation with the other Zionist parties.
The General Zionists, on the other hand, agreed to approve to the political actions of the present executive and to the methods employed by the present leaders.
Among other subjects discussed at the meeting were labor conditions in Palestine and relations between the employers and workers. Decisions on these questions were postponed to give the General Zionist representatives a chance to consult with their organization in Palestine.
The conference held today was one of a series between the executive and the various Zionist parties to achieve peace within the Zionist ranks.
