The United Zionists-Revisionists said today they have not accepted the method of representation to the forthcoming 29th World Zionist Congress and intend to challenge it in the Zionist Court in Jerusalem. The American Zionist Federation announced last week that an agreement had been reached by the AZF constituent organizations on the election of a single slate of delegates to the congress and announced the mandates each group will receive.
Morris Giloni, UZ-R national secretary and an AZF vice-president, issued a statement, declaring: “We wish to state categorically that we never agreed to the arbitrary division of the mandate and the whole process which we consider illegal. We demanded elections.” The UZ-R received three mandates and a fourth delegate was proposed and is being officially requested from the World Zionist Organization. The decision on the mandates was announced by Mrs. Faye Schenk, AZP president, after a special meeting of the AZF’s Area Election Committee.
