The international Jewish conference which is scheduled to open in Zurich March 10 will demonstrate Jewish solidarity in the face of the “unprovoked attacks” of the Communist countries, Meir Argov, chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs Committee, declared today.
His statement was made in reply to a demand for a debate on a proposal pending before the committee to send an official delegation to participate in the world Jewish parley at Zurich. The demand, turned down by Mr. Argov, was made by Dr. Moshe Sneh, leader of the Left Movement, who said that the conference could only serve to “whip up anti-Soviet propaganda, with consequent danger to the Jews of Eastern Europe.”
