Hundreds of Jews in Russia whose relatives in Palestine have secured for them the right to join them there are ignorant of the fact that there are visas awaiting them, the British Consul here told your correspondent. During the last year the Consul granted only 150 visas to Palestine. During th last three months, however, he had been instructed to grant visas only to those whose names appear on a list from the Immigration Department in Jerusalem, mostly women and children whose relatives are in Palestine. Chaluzim are practically excluded, because the Consul is not authorized to accept direct applications for visas. The contents of the lists arriving from Jerusalem remain unknown as the Consul does not make them public.
