Expenditure of 1,819,151 Egyptian pounds (about $9,000,000) for the administration of Palestine is provided in the annual budget for the year ending April 1923, just published. For the maintenance of Government Schools for Arab children the sum of LE 89,872 is assigned, whereas for public security, police and prisons LE 289,481 ($1,400,000) is allocated.
