That Max Warburg of Hamburg, brother of Paul Warburg the New York banker, is influencing the British Government to maintain its army of occupation in Germany in order to continue the inflation policy is the sensational report featured by the DAILY EXPRESS today. This policy, the report declares, is yielding the banker great profits, and Herr Warburg is asserted to be straining every nerve to keep General Godley’s command at Cologne.

Max Warburg was one of the prominent German Jews on the Anti-Semites’ blacklist, doomed to die Dr. Rathenau’s death.
