Industry, Largely Jewish. Nears Billion Total

The output of products of the clothing industry, which is largely in the hands of Jews, reached a total of nearly a billion dollars for the year 1921. The exact amount was $933,249,000. The value of the goods show a decrease of 20% from 1919, but an increase of 104% for the seven year period 1914 to 1921.

In September, the month of maximum employment, the indusry gave work to 182,476. The average number employed was 164,840.
