The first Jewish insurance company in Palestine, perhaps in the world, came into being with the official announcement that the Judean Insurance Company has been registered by the government.

The company which is sponsored by the Order Some of Zion of America will start business with a capital of $125,000. At present only life policies will be written, but it is hoped eventually to widen its scope to include all forms of insurance.
