Owing to the exhaustion of most of the immigrant quotas and the consequent dwindling of the number of those seeking to bring orphaned relatives here, the Joint Distribution Committee has announced its closing of the Orphan Bureau.

During its existence, the Orphan Bureau brought approximately 500 orphans from various points in Europe to relatives in America.
