All the universities of Roumania recently closed by the government on account of anti-Semitic disturbances will be reopened some time during the middle of April.
The government is also taking active steps against the further inflaming of the masses by the anti-Semitic ringleaders. Anti-Semitic meetings at Jassi where the attacks on Jews reached their climax have been prohibited. The government is also instituting proceedings against the Jassi police for negligence in combatting the recent riots.
Chief Rabbi Niemrover has expressed the thanks of the Jews to the government for the manner of its settlement of the Jewish question in the Roumanian constitution.
