Governor Storrs denied responsibility for the issue of the order prohibiting Jews in Jerusalem from access to the Wailing Wall on Passover. The decree was issued by a junior official, Storrs told a delegation representing the Vaad Leumi and Jewish rabbis who visited Storrs to protest against the order.
