See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

A difficult position has been created for the the reconstruction activities of the Joint Distribution Committee in Hungary by the refusal of the Hungarian government to permit the organization of Jewish credit co-operatives. The authorities have also been placing obstacles in the way of the local committees, as a result of which it has become necessary for the “Joint” to conduct its work in the country through its own officials.

Up to April 1st. 240 credits have been granted to Jewish traders and artisans, amounting to the total value of 24 million Hungarian Kronen.
