More than 1,000 boys and girls representing eleven institutions Sunday evening entertained 5,000 persons at the Spring festival of the Federation for the support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies at the Century Theatre, Central Park West and Sixty third Street.
Arthur Lehman, President of the Federation said that last year the organization gave $450,000 more than it had the year previous in maintaining various philanthropic societies, and that there was now a deficit of about the same amount for the current year. He advised increasing the membership of the Federation.
