Soronna, the German Colony outside Jaffa founded by the Templars in the early ’80s, has, by its own request, been included in the jurisdiction of the municipality of Tel-Aviv, the self contained Jewish community.

Soronna’s choice lay between Jewish Tel-Aviv and the municipality of Jaffa, which is predominately Arab, and the Germans chose the former.
