The resignation last week of all the Arab members of the Palestine Legislative Council is not final, it is understood. The Government plans to publish a statement which it is believed will satisfy the Arabs and open the way for their return to the Council.
The resignation of the Arab block followed its demand that the government publish a statement to the effect that acceptance of membership in the Legislative Council is not to be construed as acknowledgment of the Balfour Declaration.
