Hope for improvement in the status of the Jews of Lithuania was expressed here by Z. B. Komaika of Chicago following a conference he had had at Kowno with President Stulginskis of Lithuania. Mr. Komaiko also conferred with other important Lithuanian officials, advising them that America expected Lithuania to accord full justice to her minority groups. Particularly, Mr. Komaika said, he hoped better relations would be established soon between the government and the Jewish representatives, since the government recognized the wisdom of retaining the ministry for Jewish affairs and appointing Dr. Samson Rosenbaum as Minister.
