Denies He Discriminates Against Jewish Employees

Mayor Hylan charges that Frank D. Waterman, had made religious discriminations in selecting his employees brought demands for an apology today.

Mr. Waterman declared that a majority of his employees were Catholic and Jews, whereas the Mayor had insinuated that he preferred Protestants. He cited figures which showed that out of 1,000 employees 500 were Catholic, 100 Jews and 400 Protestants.
