A deputation of Roumanian Jews was received today by King Ferdinand. The deputation asked the King to order a thorough investigation of the recent anti-Jewish outbreaks in Bucharest and in numerous other places in Roumania, to find the guilty ones and to punish them.
It is stated in well-informed circles here that the one responsible for the recent anti-Semitic disturbances is the present Roumanian Finance Minister. He is particularly charged with staging the attack of the Roumanian Fascisti students on Arist ide Blank, the Jewish banker, while he was delivering a lecture on methods of stabilizing the Roumanian currency before several hundred Roumanian bankers at the Economic Institute, last Saturday. It is claimed that the Finance Minister is a personal enemy of Blank, and is strongly opposed to his stabilization plan.
