Elections to Kehillah May Split Jewish Blcc in Polish Parliament

The fight between the Zionist and the orthodox party, Agudath Israel, in connection with the approaching elections to the Jewish Kehillas in Poland, which has already resulted in one fatal casualty, may lead to a split in the united front maintained by the Jewish deputies in the Polish Sejm.

At a secret meeting held here today by the central committee of the Agudath Israel, Deputy Kirschbau, the representative of the orthodox Sejm members, attacked severely the Zionists in Poland, and particularly the Zionist leader Deputy Isaac Gruenbaum, for his sharp campaign in the press against the orthodox party.

Deputy Kirschbaum declared that in the face of such conditions there is no possibility for the orthodox deputies to continue their co-operation with the Zionists in the Polish Sejm.

Jewish political circles here criticize the attitude of the orthodox party in its decision to withdraw from the Jewish Sejm Club, arguing that internal party strife should in no way affect the united Jewish front to outsiders.
