The Government of Hedjas is making all preparations for the commencement of the building of a new railway between Maan and Akaba for the purpose of facilitating the travel to Mecca of the Moslem pilgrims. Work on the railway, which will greatly increase the industrial and commercial possibilities of the region, will begin in January.
