Herr Kunze, the well-known German anti-Semitic leader, met yesterday with an experience which perhaps has taught him the truth of the Biblical proverb: “Cast your bread upon the waters and in the course of time you will find it.”
This time, it was not his bread, but his life that Herr Kunze found upon the waters. Herr Kunze, who is the inventor of the rubber-tipped whip for special application on Jewish backs in Germany, delivered a very hot anti-Semitic speech at the
sea resort Leba, in which he bitterly denounced the Jews. He then went down to cool off in the ocean, but was drawn into a whirlpool and his life was in danger. His cries for help reached none other than the Jewish physician of the resort, Dr. Posner, who hurried to his rescue, saving him from certain doath.
