The news about Hans Herzl’s conversion to Catholicism made a great impression in Zionist and general Jewish circles here. The event is being discussed widely in the Jewish presshere, Dr. I. Gottlieb, a member of the Zionist Actions Committee published an article in the “Najer Hajnt”, in which he relates interesting details concerning the attitude of the Herzl family towards the Zionist organization. The writer recalls that at Herzl’s funeral, Nadame Herzl sobbed, exclaiming, “Your Zionists have robbed my husband, you have taken away the father of my children.”

Dr. Gottlieb futher states that while in London he asked the Zionist leaders about Hans but no one could answer his questions. Zionists have no contact with Hans Herzl.
