The Latvian government has today issued an order granting permission to the 1500 Jewish refugees from Soviet Russia to remain in the country until October 20. Permission to remain in the country previously granted to these refugess had expired and the government was preparing to repatriate them. The prolongation of their stay was granted as a request of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.
