Adolf S. Ochs, editor and publisher of The New York Times was among the three members of the Advisory Board of the School of Journalism at Columbia University upon whom honorary degrees were conferred in connection with the closing of one year’s activity in this school. The other two members who were granted a degree are Victor F. Lawsos of the Chicago Daily News and Melville E. Store of the Associated Press.
