Alarm Prevails on Russian-polish Frontier: Pilsutski to Assume Again a Polish Army Leadership?

A feeling of alarm prevails on the Russian-Polish frontier, a district which is thickly populated by Jews, according to reports received here today. It is stated that the cavalry of the Soviet General Budiennys, appeared on the frontier. Raids on the Polish frontier towns which happened recently, re-occurred.

Reports from Warsaw state that the President of the Polish Republic, Mr. Wojciechowsky, called a special council for the purpose considering the possibility of Soviet mobilization against Poland. The name of Marshall Joseph Pilsudski, formerly the Chief of Polish State, was mentioned as the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army.
