Anti-Semitism in Switzerland is on the increase, declares a resolution which has just been adopted by the Swiss Section of the Women’s International League for Peace and Liberty. This hostility towards the Jewish population is caused by propaganda bound up with industrial and commercial rivalry, says the resolution and it is as harmful to the moral well-being of our people as to the Jews themselves. The anti-Semitic propaganda may lead to most deplorable results-even to violence.

The members of the Swiss Section of the Women’s International League for Peace and Liberty pledge themselves, therefore, to collect news and books relating to anti-Semitic appearances in our country, for the purpose of checking them and of correcting false statements wherever they are made public, and to warn our people on every possible occasion against allowing themselves to be misled by the incitement towards hatred of the Jewish race, one of the most industrious sections of our population, which is working for the prosperity of the country.
