Bukowina, the newly acquired territory of Roumania is now the seat of a rigid regime of Roumanian officials who are endeavoring to “select” from the local population, the class of citizens they deem desirable. Roumanian Government Commissioners who are touring the country are erasing from the citizenship lists many residents and even native born Bukawinans, mostly Jews. Altogether, approximately 20,000 Jews have thus been deprived of their citizenship. This is a direct violation of the Internation. Peace Treaty which bestows the right of option with regard to them citizenship, on residents and natives##
