The will of Robert B. Hirsch, senior partner of William Openhym & Sons, 95 Madison Avenue, New York City, silk merchants, filed yesterday, bequeaths the sum of not less than $600,000 for various educational purposes. According to the will the Hudson Guild is to receive $25,000, Cooper Union $20,000, the Jewish Educational Alliance $10,000 and $10,000 each will go to the Hebrew Technical Institute for Boys and the Hebrew Technical Institute for Girls. The residuary estate will go to the Felix Adler Scholarship Endowment Fund of the Ethical Culture School, Central Park and West 63rd Street, New York.
An equal sum in cash will be received by relatives, friends and employees of the silk firm who have been in its employ for ten years or longer. The gifts to the latter approximate ten per cent of their yearly salaries.
