Jewish Minister Running As Candidate on Roumanian Government List

Mr. Yaruslavitch, the first Jew to hold the post of assistant minister in the Roumanian cabinet, was placed as first candidate on the governmental list in the Durostor district. Among the candidates on the liberal list there appears the name of Sigmund Birman.

The industrialist Frederick Kostiner, of Bucharest, is running for election to the senate on the list of the Jassy Chamber of Commerce. The list of the Roumanian Social Democrats contains the name of Deputy Gelerter as a candidate for Jassy.

The list of the Jewish national bloc contains the names, as candidates for Bessarabia, of Buchs of the Hitachduth, Weismann and Schechter for the Zionists; for Transylvania, Theodor Fischer and Joseph Fischer, Zionists.
