Jacob Rabinovitz, prominent Boston Zionist, who has just returned from Palestine, was named chairman of the Boston United Palestine Appeal Committee, which will conduct the drive for $300,000, at a meeting held last night at the Boston City Club, Judge David A. Lourie is Honorary Chairman of the United Palestine Appeal for New England and the vice-chairmen elected were Elihu D. Stone, Albert Hurwitz, Mrs. David A. Lourie, Rabbi B. L. Grossman and Joseph Michaelman. James D. Glunts was named treasurer.

Arrangements for the forthcoming national conference of the Zionist Organization here were completed by Meyer W. Weisgal, secretary of the Zionist Organization. The sessions of the Conference will be held at the Hotel Copley Plaza. A series of events in honor of Dr. Chaim Weizmann’s coming to Boston has been arranged preceding the national conference. Dr. Weizmann is expected in Boston on November 18, when a banquet opening the Boston United Palestine Appeal Campaign will be given at which Dr. Weizmann will be given by Governor Alvan T. Fuller of Massachusetts in Dr. Weizmann’s honor. Governors of other New England states are expected to attend the dinner. The Mayor of Boston will give a breakfast to Dr. Weizmann upon his arrival in Boston.
