The question of woman’s suffrage in the synagogue in England was brought up and defeated at a joint meeting of the council and delegates of the United Synagogue of England.
Sir Robert Waley Cohen. who was in the chair, rejected the motion of the council to grant women the vote in administrative affairs of the synagogues-Following a stormy discussion, the motion was defeated by a vote of 211 against 158.
